unfamous has a different approach from traditional architects
Slightly lowering the ambition from an architectural aspect from 100% to say 80-90% gives a lot of benefits
- better everyday functionality
- considerably lower build cost
- manageable build process, and greater availability of materials and choices
The devil is not in the detail, it's in the sum of details. And a lot of those details cost very little to apply. But when you do, the result is still way above the average prefab :)
"Unfamous designed a functional house, with ease of building in focus. This meant that our preferred (low price) prefab manufacturer agreed to build it after some minor adjustments. We got a unique, modern, functional design house, for a very reasonable price - we would not have managed the process otherwise due to a lack of budget, time, and skills."
